Pharma Nord D-Pearls contains high strength Vitamin D3, in oil-based capsule form for enhanced absorption.
Vitamin D3 is a fat soluble vitamin which plays an important role in maintaining blood levels of calcium, maintaining healthy bones and teeth as well as a healthy immune system.
The majority of vitamin D in the body is created during skin exposure to sunlight, but many people in Northern Europe and the USA do not get adequate exposure. Cholecalciferol is an animal source of vitamin D3 (derived from lanolin).
Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium from food and reduces the excretion of calcium from the body. These effects ensure that calcium levels are maintained and allow adequate levels to be stored in bones and teeth. If blood calcium levels are too low, calcium may be mobilised from bones for use elsewhere in the body, resulting in bone weakening.
Vitamin D3 is also responsible for maintaining healthy muscles and nerves, and for maintaining a healthy immune system.

A Genuine Product at an Incredibly Good Price.

My wife & I have been taking this supplement for several years, but this was the first time we had ordered anything from Dolphin Fitness. Dolphin's discounted price for four boxes worked out to be incredibly incredibly good value, so I was sceptical about whether they were the genuine "Pharma-Nord" product. Upon delivery I closely compared the product with our previous supplies. I am glad to report that these are 100% genuine!
A note about Pharma-Nord Vitamin D3: Most Vitamin D3 is supplied in tablet form and those tablets can stick to the inside of one's mouth & start dissolving there. This product is much better as it comes as small gelatine capsules & they are easily popped out of the foil and easily swallowed. A very important fact about Vitamin D3 is that it needs some dietary fat to be digested properly. These capsules have this important vitamin suspended in a small amount of olive oil (vegetable fat) inside the capsules, increasing their efficiency.
Vitamin D3 is now being recognised as a most important vitamin food supplement for the general population. Lack of it is implicated in many health problems, especially respiratory diseases & low bone density. If you live in Northern Europe & especially if you spend much of your life indoors, you will very likely be deficient in Vitamin D, as it is generated by sunlight hitting the skin. You would be well advised to take at least one or two of these capsules daily, all year round. Some sources suggest that much higher doses, such as five or six capsules per day, are beneficial and safe to take.
My wife & I will certainly stick to buying this product in future, and keep on buying from Dolphin Fitness too.
