These bars, at least in terms of texture and overall taste are very good. They are very light and easy to eat - they don't need 1000 chews. They are sweet though, but I have a sweet tooth so they are perfect for me.

Best way I've found to top up on protein for recovery. Very nice tasting bar with none of the saw-dust aftertaste often found with protein shakes. Highly recommended.

I have used many protein bars to assist recovery after runs for many years and have had varying success, most are not at all appealing and after a shakes trial I reverted back to bars, this is a good one and it feels like you are eating a nice chocolate bar as a treat after a run but with recovery benefits. I cannot fully quantify for now. It seems like you are eating a big, thick very chewy After8 chocolate, only tried chocolate so far but one of the more palatable bars if the protein and carb combinations right for you too. Overall tasty, good consistency, very good price and benefits yet to be ratified!

Bought a mixed dozen protein bars to taste as many as possible and the Powerbar protein plus (caramel-vanilla) had by far the best taste. It has a comparatively light texture, is easily digestible, and a good price...slight negative it only has 16.6g protein, but on taste alone, easily the best of over 20 that I have now sampled!
