Protein
Protein is essential for life and is a major part of the body, found primarily in muscle. We need protein for the growth and repair of tissues. During digestion, proteins are broken down into smaller units called amino acids. There are 20 different amino acids, which can be combined to make many different proteins.
Our bodies can make proteins from amino acids, but we're unable to produce nine of the acids. These are known as essential amino acids and must be supplied by our diet.
Protein powders take just a minute or two to prepare, just scoop out the protein powder, put it in a shaker or blender, pour in a liquid of some kind (usually water, milk or even fruit juice), and mix it and drink.
The benefits of having an Ready to drink is huge and obvious! Not only is it already prepared for you, but it can be taken with you just about anywhere you go. You can take them to the gym, your office, home or outdoors.
Meal replacement protein bars essentially contain the least amount of calories and more carbs than protein. Protein bars in general are meant to replace a meal for dieters, or as a healthy, low-calorie pre or post-workout snack.
