Reflex Nutrition emphasise the importance of colostrum reaching the small intestine, intact, as quickly as possible for maximum benefit; we therefore avoid using casein or "slow release" proteins which would almost certainly slow its passage through the stomach, which could expose Colostrum to an unacceptable acid environment.
